Sewing Quilted Holiday Decor

We absolutely love the O Christmas Tree pattern from Amanda Castor! It’s so versatile and easy to follow. It would be perfect for a beginner sewer looking to complete a holiday decor project this winter!

Sewing Supplies and Sewing Notions

As we mentioned, our crafty staffer used her EverSewn Sparrow QE sewing machine to whip up this beautiful wall hanging. The EverSewn Sparrow QE features beautiful stitch quality, a deep 8” throat space to maneuver your sewing projects of all sizes, a thread cutter, speed control, and a whole host of other features that make this a dream machine! And, it looks cute. We know that’s important for your craft room aesthetic!

To create those beautifully straight lines, our sewist used the walking foot from EverSewn - a must-have for quilting. This accessory equalizes the feeding of the upper and lower layers of fabric when sewing. It also helps to prevent uneven feeding of very difficult fabrics. We often use the walking foot for matching plaids or stripes and sewing fabrics with nap or pile to keep them from shifting.

The EverSewn Ruler and EverSewn Ruler Grip were both also used in the creation of this holiday decor. The EverSewn Ruler is clear, scratch-resistant acrylic which makes it super handy for measuring out all those triangle cuts! This ruler is great to use with rotary cutters and straight-edge blades for any quilting, sewing, or crafting need. Grid and angle lines are printed in contrasting color to make reading and cutting easy and precise.

We LOVE using the EverSewn Ruler Grip. It makes it so easy to measure fabric comfortably and accurately. We cannot recommend it highly enough. If you have a crafter in your life, this would make a perfect stocking stuffer gift!

Finally, our quilter grabbed up a bunch of Brewer Basics Solids fabrics and EverSewn batting and got to creating! We think the end product is gorgeous.
